88 Power pilferers caught in Ravi Rayan & Muridkey

LAHORE: LESCO caught 88 persons for stealing electricity in the area of LESCO Muridkey Division limits. Power pilferers were find Rs.1.5 million and charged 104000 units as detection bill. On the direction of Chief Executive LESCO Saleem Akthar and Director Syed Saleem Shah, a team headed by Deputy Manager S&I Engr. Muhammad Anwar Qaseem Qureshi raided the areas of Muridkey, Ravi Rayan Taroomuslim, Lambra, Naktang, Chohaywali Kalan, Chohaywali khurd, Poorab, Bair wala, Windwala Nasir, Ratanwala, Tabey, Baheya wali and rayanpura to check power pilferage. FIRs lodged in concerned police stations against 77 consumers who were stealing electricity through main supply and 11 stealing electricity through applying various tactics. Additional Manager Public Relations LESCO Javaid Ahmad Khan requested electricity consumers that if they find any pilferage of electricity, report it on toll free number 0800-84338 (THEFT), their names and addresses will be kept confidential.
