Sacked KESC employees to be reinstated

KARACHI: The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has announced its decision to reinstate 4500 employees who had recently been sacked.

The decision comes after a committee constituted by the Sindh government held a meeting at the Chief Ministers house with the KESC management.

Federal Minister for Water and Electricity Raja Pervez Ashraf made the announcement of the reinstatement of the employees.

The sacking of the KESC employees set off a firestorm of protests where the employees went off on a rampage and attacked the main KESC office building.

The main political parties in Karachi had come to the defense of the sacked employees vowing to help in their reinstatement.
