Pakistan Dec trade deficit widens to $1.62 bln

ISLAMABAD: Pakistans trade deficit widened to $1.62 billion in December, from $1.34 billion a year earlier and also $1.34 billion in November, the Federal Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday.

The countrys trade deficit for the first six months of the 2010/11 fiscal year (July-June) was $8.14 billion, compared with a $6.89 billion deficit a year earlier.
