New Zealand elect to bat in Wellington Test

WELLINGTON: New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and chose to bat in the second Test against Pakistan at the Basin Reserve on Saturday.

New Zealand all-rounder James Franklin was brought into the side to replace opener Tim McIntosh with Martin Guptill moved up to open with Brendon McCullum. Kane Williamson will bat at three.

Pakistan were unchanged from the team that won the first Test in Hamilton by 10 wickets.
