Government not serious about Reko Diq case: CJ

ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry expressed anger on Monday at the failure of the Balochistan government and the federation on failing to submit a reply in the Reko Diq case. The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing until January 25 and ordered the petitioners to submit their responses by January 19.

The Chief Justice said that the Reko Diq case was very important and all eyes worldwide were on it. He said that the government was not taking the case seriously.

On the request of Watan Party leader Barrister Zafarullah, the court has also issued a notice to foreign company Tethyan Copper Company.
